We feel like the hole is getting deeper and deeper. We are now going on 2 months behind on both rent and car payments. We were able to get food stamps, no cash help, not that we are complaining, any help is a blessing, and we just have zero cash coming in. Everything coming into our bank account is going towards our $900 overdrawn account. Kids are good for breakfast and lunch for the next couple weeks at school, but everything else is the same or worse. We checked into a lot of places for help, everyone is out of funds. More ideas would be great.
Is there anyone out there that is will to help our family out? Husband on a two week furlough, Wife lost job two weeks ago, three children in school. Rent is due, utilities are so far behind, and something could be turning off today? Car Payment was auto-deducted from bank account that was paid and put us in the overdraft almost $900. Bank paid everything and then charged us $29.05 fourteen times to cover items including a $5.00 check. Two children have severe allergies and one asthma, need meds, other child needs to see the doctor for chronic pain in foot. Wife just had a seizure 6 weeks ago, still on seizure precautions, can't drive, had to take time off of work, which lead to job loss. We are in a total debt of $6000.00, none of which are credit cards, we do not have a single one, kind of wish we did at this minute. Most are way past due doctor bills, that are in collection, which we are receiving letters informing us that we are being sued. Our immediate need is about $1000, to pay half of our rent, buy some groceries and bring our bank account to a positive balance. I know this story is the same story as millions of other people, but we thought it was worth a try. We have an appointment with Health and Welfare in the morning, applied to get kids on the food program at school for lunches. If you have any other ideas for us please reply.
